Don’t blame the Cayman Islands
CHARLOTTE, USA – Charlotte Observer contributor Daniel Mitchell suggests
that it would be a better idea if US politicians fixed the problems in the tax
code, such as the fact that the IRS imposes a second layer of tax on companies
trying to compete in global markets, instead of blaming the Cayman Islands for
having better tax laws.
Big bucks in the Cayman Islands?
TARENTUM, USA – Valley News Dispatch contributor Barbara Daugherty asks
why, if trafficking in drugs is so lucrative an endeavour, do all these people
whose photos appear in newspapers and on television look like losers? Maybe
they are sending the big bucks to the Cayman Islands, keeping it safe for when
they have to flee the law.
Cayman Islands well down list of preferred jurisdictions
LONDON, England – According to the Daily Telegraph, City of London lawyers
see Guernsey as second only to Jersey as a good jurisdiction in which to set
up trusts for personal clients, according to a recently-published survey.
Bermuda and the Cayman Islands were well behind and the Isle of Man even
further down the list of jurisdictions they preferred.
