Cayman Outreach Association
Cayman Outreach Association’s School of the Holy Spirit’s monthly session takes place at the Family Life Centre on Monday 31 October from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Coffee Morning

Fundraising Yard Sale
A fundraising yard sale will take place on Saturday 5 November at the Chapel Church of God in West Bay, beginning at 6:00 am. This is in aid of a trip to the Atlanta Youth Convention in December.

Cayman Turtle Farm/ Boatswain’s Beach Event
The Cayman Turtle Farm/Boatswain’s Beach invites the public to join the Farm at its annual Turtle Release on Wednesday 2 November at the Seven Mile Beach (Public Beach). The event will begin at 4:00 pm with the release occurring promptly at 5:00 pm. Call 949-3894 for further information.

Cayman Islands Humane Society Cards
The CI Humane Society has 2005 Design Christmas Cards now available from the Shelter or Book Loft on North Sound Road. They have advised that with a choice of two stunning designs, these are a must for any animal lovers to send this year. Call 949-1461 for further details.

The Cayman Islands Red Cross Thrift Shop
Wishes to inform the public that it now has a wide selection of Pirates Week and Halloween costumes for sale at very reasonable prices. Their shop hours are Tuesday through Friday 9:00 am to 2:00 pm and Saturdays 7:30 am to 1:30 pm.

Diabetes Seminar
Kendall Regional Medical Center in South Florida in collaboration with the Cayman Islands Medical & Dental Society and the Cayman Islands Diabetes Association presents “Diabetes 2005: Making the Best of it” on Saturday 29 October. National Gallery’s Little Artists Programme
The Little Artists programme at the National Gallery Education Centre is a new drop-off programme that allows children aged 3 to 6 to explore their creative side. Cost per session is $15.00 for members and $20.00 for non-members, and is held weekly at the NGEC, Bay Town Plaza (formerly Merren’s Plaza) each Wednesday from 3:00 to 4:30 pm. Children must register each week prior to the sessions by calling 925-3222 or emailing clareokeefe@hotmail.com.

2006 Young Caymanian Leadership Award (YCLA)

Conch/Whelk Season Reminder
The Department of Environment is reminding the public of the parameters for the conch and whelk season, which begins simultaneously on 1 November 2005 and closes on 20 April 2006. For information of the parameters and on the Marine Conservation Laws and seasonal restrictions, please call 949-8469.

St George’s Anglican 
The Bishop of the Kingston Region in the Diocese of Jamaica & the Cayman Islands, The Rt. Reverend Dr Robert Thompson, will preside at Holy Confirmation on Sunday 30 October at the service, which will begin at 9:00 am. Brunch follows in the Church Hall. All are invited. Female Cancer Awareness Month
The Cayman Islands Cancer Society will be holding a series of district awareness sessions in the month of November to promote awareness of cervical, ovarian and endometrial cancer. Cayman Islands Nurses Association (CINA)

Stingray Tourism Awards
The reception for the Stingray Tourism Awards will be held at the Grand Cayman Marriott Hotel on Saturday 12 November. The black-tie affair will include cocktails, dinner, entertainment and of course the awards. Tickets are $100 each or a table of 10 for $900. Contact the CITA office for reservations.

Church Senior Group Luncheon
The Elmslie Memorial church’s Senior Group will be holding a luncheon on Monday 17 November at the Elmslie Memorial Hall from 10:30 to 1:00 pm. The luncheon is being held to coincide with the United Nations International Day of Older Persons.

CI Business & Professional Women’s Club
The Club will be holding an international campaign entitled “16 Days of Activism Against Gender Violence”, which will take place from 25 November to 10 December 2005. Dental Clinic to close for Repairs
To facilitate urgent repairs and refurbishing, the Health Services Authority wishes to inform the public that the Dental Clinic at the Cayman Islands Hospital will be closed until Friday 25 November. Limited service will be provided through Dental Caravan and Bodden Town District Health Centre. The Health Services regrets any inconvenience the temporary closure may cause.

Artists’ Information sought for Tourist Map
The National Gallery and the Department of Tourism will be producing the second printing of the Tourist Map. Any artist interested in being featured on the map should submit their name, contact number, and physical address as well as studio hours to the National Gallery. Sunrise Adult Learning Centre
