CIAA’s Admin Office Relocation
The Cayman Islands Airports Authority’s Administrative
Office will be relocating to the 2nd floor of the Owen Roberts International
Airport Building on 15 November 2005. In order to facilitate this move the
office at Beacon House on Owen Roberts Drive will be closed to the public on
11 November and will reopen for business 15 November at 8:30 am. For further

Mail Service Disruption at Miami Postal Facility
The United States Postal Service has advised post offices
worldwide that its Miami airport facility, due to damage suffered from
Hurricane Wilma, is experiencing disruption to mail. Also experiencing
disruption are areas in Louisiana with the following zip codes, 701 and 706
among others, as well as Texas with Zip Code 77614. For further queries
contact the General Post Office at 949-2474.
CI Astronomical Society
The Cayman Islands Astronomical Society will hold a
viewing session on Monday 7 November at 6:30 pm at Pedro Castle. All are
welcome.
Change of dates for Symphony
The fundraiser for the Cayman Islands National Orchestra
has been moved a week from Wednesday to Wednesday 9 November, due to unstable
weather conditions.
Gimistory
Gimistory is fast approaching and the Cayman National
Cultural Foundation (CNCF) advises that it will run from 25 November to 3
December. The CNCF is looking for volunteers from each of the districts to
help with the Gimistory Fish Fry on each of these evenings. If you think you
can help please contact the CNFC at 949-5477. Free T-shirt to those
participating.
Annual Women’s Conference
The Vision Miracle Church of God invites both men and
women to the Annual Women’s Conference which continues until 4 November at
7:00 pm. Speakers will be Bishop Juliette Fagan, Minister Ellen Peguero,
Pastor Marlene Scott and others.
Fundraising Yard Sale
A fundraising yard sale will take place on Saturday 5
November at the Chapel Church of God in West Bay, beginning at 6:00 am. This
is in aid of a trip to the Atlanta Youth Convention in December.
Bodybuilding Championships
The Cayman Islands Natural Bodybuilding Association
presents ‘Bodybuilding Extremé championships on Saturday 5 November at Lions
Centre. Prejudging at 12:00 noon and Finals at 7:00 pm. Tickets available from

DEH Island-wide Clean-up
The Department of Environmental Health will conduct an
island-wide bulk waste clean-up on Grand Cayman, starting Saturday 5 November,
and advises residents that bulk waste should be placed by road sides by the
first day of each scheduled district clean up. EE and NS – 5 to 11 Nov; BT –
12 to 18 Nov; GT – 19 to 26 Nov; WB – 28 Nov to 3 Dec.
National Trust Traditional Caymanian Cooking Class
A local celebrity chef will demonstrate the art of
preparing a traditional caymanian dish on Wednesday 9 November at 7:00 pm at

Female Cancer Awareness Month
The Cayman Islands Cancer Society will be holding a
series of district awareness sessions in the month of November to promote
awareness of cervical, ovarian and endometrial cancer. All sessions begin at
7:30 pm and vouchers for free Pap smears will be offered. Refreshments will be

Cayman Islands Nurses Association (CINA)
Invites all nurses to their monthly meeting on Monday 7
November at 7:30 pm in the Orchid Conference Room of the Cayman Islands
Hospital. The topic is “Cayman HospiceCare & Symptom Management Approaches at
the Different Stages of Palliative Care” presented by Jenny Kwakwa of Cayman

Sand-sculpting Competition
The Department of tourism and the National Gallery
present the 3rd Annual Cayman Islands Sand-sculpting Competition on Saturday
12 November at the Seven Mile Public Beach from 8:00 am to 11:00 am. Ensure a

CIHS Class of 1980’ Reunion
The Cayman Islands High School Class of 1980 will be
holding its 25-Year Reunion 12-13 November. Class members and teachers who
journeyed with them any time during 1975 and 1980 who have not yet been

Stingray Tourism Awards
The reception for the Stingray Tourism Awards will be
held at the Grand Cayman Marriott Hotel on Saturday 12 November. The
black-tie affair will include cocktails, dinner, entertainment and of course
the awards. Tickets are $100 each or a table of 10 for $900. Contact the CITA
office for reservations.
Church Senior Group Luncheon
The Elmslie Memorial church’s Senior Group will be
holding a luncheon on Monday 17 November at the Elmslie Memorial Hall from
10:30 to 1:00 pm. The luncheon is being held to coincide with the United
Nations International Day of Older Persons.
Dental Clinic to Close for repairs
To facilitate urgent repairs and refurbishing, the Health
Services Authority wishes to inform the public that the Dental Clinic at the
Cayman Islands Hospital will be closed until Friday 25 November. Limited
service will be provided through Dental Caravan and Bodden Town District
Health Centre. The Health Services regrets any inconvenience the temporary
closure may cause.
CI Business & Professional Women’s Club
The Club will be holding an international campaign
entitled “16 Days of Activism Against Gender Violence”, which will take place
from 25 November to 10 December 2005. Program details will be released closer

Cayman Islands Humane Society Cards
The CI Humane Society has 2005 Design Christmas Cards now
available from the Shelter or Book Loft on North Sound Road. They have advised
that with a choice of two stunning designs, these are a must for any animal

National Gallery’s Little Artists Programme
The Little Artists programme at the National Gallery
Education Centre is a new drop-off programme that allows children aged 3 to 6
to explore their creative side. Cost per session is $15.00 for members and
$20.00 for non-members, and is held weekly at the NGEC, Bay Town Plaza
(formerly Merren’s Plaza) each Wednesday from 3:00 to 4:30 pm. Children must
register each week prior to the sessions by calling 925-3222 or emailing
