Women’s Resource Centre Workshop
The Women’s Resource Centre (WRC) is offering a free workshop teaching stress management techniques that will get you through the Holidays and bring you into the New Year calm, cool and collected on Thursday 1 December from 5:30 – 7:00 pm at the WRC’s offices in Elizabethan Square. Public Meeting to discuss Health Insurance
The Ministry of Health and the Health Insurance Commission will be hosting a town hall meeting to discuss important issues relating to health insurance on Tuesday 29 November at the Mary Miller Memorial Hall in Red Bay from 7:00 – 9:00 pm. All are invited.

Sustainable Living Forum in Cayman Brac
There will be a Sustainable Living Forum taking place in Cayman Brac on Friday 2 December at the Brac Reef Beach Resort from 8:15 am to 4:30 pm. Opening Hours of Legislative Department
The Legislative Department will be open to the general public, for the sale of Laws, on Monday 28 November from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm in order to facilitate in-camera proceedings of the Standing Public Accounts Committee. 

Three-night  Spiritual Convocation
Kings Seventh Day Adventist Temple at Cayman Academy building, 209 Walkers Road, will be presenting a three-night Spiritual Convocation exclusively for women under the theme “Let the Power Fall on I”, beginning Sunday 27 November to Tuesday 29 November at 7:30 pm.

The Convocation continues exclusively for the men starting on Wednesday 30 November to Friday 2 December at the same venue, also at 7:30 pm.

Female Cancer  Awareness Month The Cayman Islands Cancer Society’s last meeting of the November sessions in districts to promote awareness of cervical, ovarian and endometrial cancer takes place on Monday 28th – East End United Church Hall. Session begins at 7:30 pm and vouchers for free Pap smears will be offered. Refreshments will be served. Call 949-7618 for more information.

Health Insurance Forum The Ministry of Health and the Health Insurance Commission invite the public to a meeting about Health Insurance in Cayman on Tuesday 29 November at the Mary Miller Memorial Hall in Red Bay from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. JGHS Reporting Evenings Reporting evenings continue for students who attend all Year Groups at John Gray High School, in the Assembly Hall from 5:00 pm – 6:30 pm. Year 11 – Tuesday 29 November; and Year 10 – Thursday 1 December.

Gimistory
Cayman National Cultural Foundation (CNCF) advises that Gimistory will run to Saturday 3 December. The CNFC is looking for volunteers from each of the districts to help with the Gimistory Fish Fry on each of the evenings. If you think you can help please contact the CNFC at 949-5477. National Gallery  Exhibition Dancing The National Gallery continues their Exhibition Dancing to Art – The Art of Al Ebanks interpreted by the dances of Susan Barnes Pereira, Lorna Reid, Patrice Donalds and Roger Thompson – through mid-January on Fridays from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and Saturdays 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. Prospect Primary  School PTA The Prospect Primary School PTA will host its 1st Annual 5k Fun Run/Walk on Saturday 10 December. Participants will walk from Smiths Cove to the South Sound Dock. CI Business & Professional Women’s Club The Club will be holding an international campaign entitled “16 Days of Activism Against Gender Violence”, which continues to 10 December 2005. Christmas Concert & Tea at St Ignatius St Ignatius Catholic School (Years 7-13) will be presenting their annual Christmas Concert and Afternoon Tea on Sunday 11 December at their Arts Centre beginning at 3:00 pm. Tickets cost $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12 and are available at the School Office or band/choir members. Proceeds will go to the Music Department and the Graduating Class.

Lobster Season Reminder The Department of Environment is advising the public of the regulations for the coming lobster season, which opens 1 December and ends 28 February 2006. For information on the regulations, contact the DOE at 949-8469.

Education Department The public is advised that the Education Department has moved back to its original premises, and is now open as normal on Thomas Russell Way. NCVO Radio/ Telethon Fundraiser This fundraiser will air live from the Hard Rock Café on CITN and Radio Cayman on Saturday 3 December from 7:00 pm until midnight. Mail Service Disruption  at Miami Postal Facility The United States Postal Service has advised post offices worldwide that its Miami airport facility, due to damage suffered from Hurricane Wilma, is experiencing disruption to mail. Also experiencing disruption are areas in Louisiana with the following zip codes, 701 and 706 among others, as well as Texas with Zip Code 77614. Cayman Islands  Humane Society Cards The CI Humane Society has 2005 Design Christmas Cards now available from the Shelter or Book Loft on North Sound Road.
