The Cayman Islands’ wedding tourism product is going from strength to strength and a two-page editorial in US magazine
Destination Weddings and Honeymoons is bound to help. The issues hit newsstands earlier this month and features the wedding of Andrea Simkins and Philip Watt.
Ninety guests travelled from all over the world, many staying for an entire week, to attend the ceremony which took place at The Westin Casuarina Resort & Spa last April.
Poppy Guloien of the Westin Casuarina Resort & Spa, Jo-Anne Brown and her team at Celebrations, David Wolfe, The Reef Resort, Grand Old House, Portofino Wreck View Restaurant and Stingray City are all mentioned in the article.
“This piece was a group effort in the making,” said Rebecca Grinnals, strategic consultant to DOT for the wedding and honeymoon market. “The DOT hosted a FAM trip for four key bridal journalists last year which included the Senior Editor of Destination Wedding & Honeymoons Susan Campbell. DOT was able to share this gorgeous wedding with Ms. Campbell during the trip resulting in this priceless coverage.
