National Gallery corporate member, Esso (Cayman) Ltd. recently made a donation of US$1,800 to the NGCI Capital Building Project, a symbol of the company’s support of arts and culture in the Cayman Islands.
Jermaine Sharpe, Retail Territory Manager/Acting Industrial & Wholesale Territory Manager & Marketing Specialist at Esso Cayman Ltd., stated: “Esso Cayman Limited is proud to support the National Gallery of The Cayman Islands to build cultural awareness of Caymanian heritage within the community as we believe it is important to preserve and promote Cayman’s rich and diverse history, which helps to define Caymanian national identity. We hope our contribution serves to enhance the Gallery’s visual arts collections and on behalf of Esso Cayman and its employees, we wish the National Gallery all the best in its wonderful new facility and applaud its efforts to foster artistic creativity within our community.”
The new National Gallery and Education Centre officially opened on 1February and there are still opportunities for businesses to get involved in the NGCI building project and Capital Fundraising Campaign by way of naming opportunities or corporate membership. Those interested may contact Mrs. Natalie Urquhart at director@nationalgallery.org.ky or call the National Gallery at 945-8111.
